Job Title: Primary Librarian
Organization: Emirates National School
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates,
Description: The Emirates National School Library is seeking applications for the 2007/08 academic year position of Primary School Librarian.
QUALIFICATIONS
·-Graduate or post-graduate degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution, or equivalent;
·-Teaching qualifications highly desirable;
·-Strong and evidence based commitment to student-centered learning principles and practices;
·-High level of computer literacy and strong information technology skills;
-Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with individuals and teams.
LANGUAGE
· English – excellent written and spoken
EXPERIENCE
·Minimum 3 years school librarian experience
·Experience in the use of computers, information technologies, and integrated library systems;
·Experience in international or multi-cultural settings and in working with second language learners is desirable.
